Client Words

What my clients are saying

"Sue is the best! She is a talented photographer with a fabulous personality. She has a great way about her and was committed to making our day special and capturing the important moments. Our pictures came out amazing and I get asked all the time who was our photographer. She went above and beyond and is an excellent choice to capture any important moment in your life."

"Sue is hands down the best to work with and her results are AMAZING! We hired her for our September 2nd wedding and we could not be happier with our wedding photos! She did both our engagement shoot and day of pictures and everyone is still commenting on how stunning they are! She is truly the easiest to work with and makes you feel so comfortable during the entire process!! We cannot wait to work with her again for our future family photos. If you are looking for a wedding photographer - LOOK NO FURTHER!! I promise you - book Sue and you will not regret it!! We love you Sue!!! Thank you!!!!!"

amanda & billy

"I would recommend Sue to anyone looking for quality images and a professional attitude. She was extremely helpful when answering my questions and concerns and was extremely responsive to emails. On the day of our wedding, everything was so beautifully planned out and organized without feeling stressful by running around getting photos done. Her and Dave (her assistant) made the day fun even though it was about 30 degrees outside and we were all freezing. We just got our gallery back and both of their work is stunning!"

amanda & paul

"From the day we booked Sue to photography our wedding, she went above and beyond with her customer service, professionalism and quality of work. The day of the wedding, she showed up and jumped right in. She put everyone at ease andmade everyone feel comfortable. We had a great backdrop for photos and she truly took advantage of every angle, and setting. We absolutely love the photos she got of the two of us on our big day. She was able get photos of us looking natural. The happiness we were feeling that day really came through in the pictures. I'm thrilled we had Sue there on our weddin"

Wedding Q&A

How would you describe your photography style (traditional, photojournalist, candid, documentary, etc)?

I consider my style to be natural and classic with a hint of sassy. I love candid, authentic moments and strive to capture those moments that tell the story of the day as it unfolds.

Is the package price limited to a certain number of photos?

No. On average, you can expect to receive between 600+ beautifully captured images from your wedding day.

Do you edit every photo?

I do minor editing to all photographs as it relates to exposure or contrast. In some cases, I do process to enhance the mood of the image — such as turning a color image into black and white. I do not over-process my photos with Photoshop. I think over-processing the images takes away from the moment that was originally captured in camera. For example, do not expect me to whiten eyeballs in portraits …it’s just not natural … and it’s creepy!

How soon after the wedding date should I expect to see the proofs?

I know you’re anxious for your photos, so I try my best to provide a quick turnaround of four-six weeks from the wedding date. Additionally, I often do a “sneak peek” of a few favorite shots on my Facebook business page within 24 hours of the wedding day. So make sure you “like” Sue K. Photography on Facebook and share the page with your family and friends so they can see your photos too!

Are you willing to follow a shot list (or cool photo ideas I found on Pinterest)?

I do minor editing to all photographs as it relates to exposure or contrast. In some cases, I do process to enhance the mood of the image — such as turning a color image into black and white. I do not over-process my photos with Photoshop. I think over-processing the images takes away from the moment that was originally captured in camera. What type of equipment/cameras do you use?

Nikon camera bodies, lenses and flashes.

Do you have liability insurance?

Absolutely! I am fully insured and I always have backup gear … just in case!

How long have you been in business?

I have been a professional photographer for more than 15 years and have photographed a lot of weddings. I accept a limited amount of weddings per year so that I can better serve my clients and give them my undivided attention they deserve.

How much of a deposit is required to hold the date of my wedding?

Fifty percent is due at signing of the agreement to secure your date on my calendar. The remaining 50 percent is due no later than 14 days prior to the wedding date.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash, check, Venmo and credit cards (via PayPal).

What happens if you are late or unable to attend?

I hope this NEVER happens, but if it does I would arrange for another professional photographer to take my place. Someone with similar style, skill and personality, of course! :)
